The boardwalk offers plenty of spots to stop and appreciate the wildlife. You can spot turtles, ducks, various bird species, and more. An Eagle Scout project added markers along the trail to identify the different types of vegetation. There are swimming holes and rest areas with benches along the way. The North entrance, which includes a kayak/canoe launch slip, is located on West College Boulevard by the Hawks Landing subdivision.
