River Flow Information |
https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/1494 This section of river is dependent on flow being released from an upstream hydropower dam. Natural flow is supplemented by the limited yet mandated ecological baseflows from the upstream Three Lynx Powerhouse. Good consistent flows are available throughout the winter with rain and into spring as snowmelt. The river drops low in the summer but can still be enjoyed as a technical boating experience and a wonderful escape into the National Forest just an hour from downtown Portland. The settlement agreement and new license have also resulted in improvements to river access sites. (Source: American Whitewater) |
